Project 2 | Audito Storytelling (Week8-Week10)
Assignment Description :
For this task, we are required to create a brief audio adaptation of a fairy tale. We can either choose a classic story or write an original one. Based on the selected storyline, we need to record narration and voice acting for the characters.
After recording, the audio should be edited in Adobe Audition to enhance clarity, and appropriate sound effects and background music should be added to create atmosphere. The final audio will then be paired with a set of visual images or illustrations.
The finished piece should be aroundtwo minutes long, with a focus on telling a complete story purely through sound.

Story Selection #2:
Disney's La Luna | Short Film
My initial idea was to focus on creating a fairytale-inspired soundscape, so I picked an image of a little girl riding a horse toward the stars and designed audio around it. However, after receiving feedback from the Mr.Razif, I decided to shift direction and rework the project using the Disney short film La Luna as my base for further exploration.
I created a reimagined version of the La Luna story and used AI to help generate new visual images that fit the adapted narrative, serving as a visual complement to the edited audio.
Voice Recording :
I condensed La Luna into a 2.5-minute storyline by summarizing the key points of the original short film. I then added narration along with scripted dialogue between the main character, his father, and grandfather. To bring the real, I asked my friend to voice the father and grandfather roles.
Process :
I first imported the recorded audio clips into Adobe Audition in sequence. Then, I applied a denoise effect to the voice recordings to reduce any background noise that might have occurred during the recording process.
After reducing the background noise, I used EQ to shape the voice tone by slightly boosting the lower frequencies to add warmth and depth, and reducing some of the harsh high-mid frequencies to make the narration sound smoother. I then manually adjusted a few volume spikes to match the overall loudness, and applied the Dynamics effect to compress the audio for a more consistent volume across all words.
Based on the original atmosphere of La Luna, I added background music to enhance the storytelling mood and placed sound effects at key moments to emphasize important narrative beats. To maintain a smooth and pleasant listening experience, I applied fade-in and fade-out effects to both the background music and sound effects, allowing them to blend naturally with the voice narration.
After finishing the audio editing, I exported the final track and imported it into a video editing software to synchronize it with the images. I added fade-in and fade-out animations to the images to match the pacing and transitions of the audio, creating a smoothe viewing experience.
